  • Applying Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  • He or She must have cleared HSC or any of its equivalents with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subjects Biology with at least 50% aggregate. Candidates belonging from Backward class categories or from the Pwd category belonging to Maharashtra State only must have secured at least 45% aggregate. Besides this, He/ She must have appeared in all the subjects of CET and should obtain non zero scores in CET managed by the Competent Authority OR
  • Applying candidate must have cleared Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 50% aggregate. Candidates belonging from Backward class categories or from the Pwd category belonging to Maharashtra State only must have secured at least 45% aggregate.

B.Tech(Lateral Entry)

  • Applying Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  • He or She must have cleared a Diploma in Engineering or Technology with a minimum of 45% aggregate. Candidates belonging from Backward class categories or from the Pwd category belonging to Maharashtra State only must have secured at least 40% aggregate. OR
  • He or She must have cleared the B.Sc degree from Association of Indian Universities recognized University or University Grants Commission (UGC) with a minimum of 45% aggregate. Candidates belonging from Backward class categories or from the Pwd category belonging to Maharashtra State only must have secured at least 45% aggregate. Besides this, the candidate must have cleared the HSC with Mathematics.

VIT B.Tech Application Process

Admission for VIT B.Tech course is based on the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH-CET). A candidate who want to enroll for admission in B.Tech course at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology must appear for MH-CET examination.

Once the result of MH-CET is released, the candidates can appear for the counselling process.

VIT B.Tech Admission Process

Following are the steps for VIT B.Tech Admission process:

Step 1: Take MH-CET examination

Candidates must fill in the application form of MH-CET and appear for the examination to be eligible to apply for B.Tech course at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology

Step 2: Register for Counselling Process

Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test is responsible to conduct the counseling process for MH-CET. Candidates who have a valid scorecard of MH-CET must register for the counseling process at the official website of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test. The online application form must be filled to attend MHT CET counseling process

Step 3: Verify the documents

Once the online application form is filled, candidates must fill the verify the required documents at the nearest Help Centre.

Step 4: Wait for the Result

The examination authority releases the merit list of the candidates on the official website after the verification of the documents. Selection is merit-based and on the availability of seats.

  • Applying Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  • He or She must have cleared the Bachelor degree in relevant stream of Engineering and Technology from State Government approved institutions or All India Council for Technical Education or Central with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Candidates belonging from Backward class categories or from the Pwd category belonging to Maharashtra State only must have secured at least 45% aggregate.
  • He or She must have cleared Bachelor degree in the relevant specialisation of Engineering/ Technology as mentioned in the eligibility criteria declared by the Vidyalankar Institute of Technology (VIT).
  • Applying candidate must have scored the required percentage in the Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology OR
  • Applying candidate must have scored the required percentage in the Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the All India Council of Technical Education
  • Applying candidate must have a minimum work experience of two years in a registered firm/ industry/ company/ or research institute/ educational and/ any Government Autonomous Organization or Government Department in the relevant field for which the candidate is applying for admission.

VIT M.E. Application Process

Admission for ME course at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology is based on the GATE scorecard. Candidate must take the GATE examination and apply for counseling process with State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra.

Following are the steps for VIT M.E. Admission process:

Step 1: Take GATE examination

Candidates must appear for the GATE examination for the academic year. Those with a valid score card can fill the online application form and attend the counselling process conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test

Step 2: Register for Counselling

The application for counselling process is released on the official website of MH-CET. Candidates must fill the application form and upload the required documents.

Step 3: Verify the documents

Once the online application form is filled, candidates must undergo the document verification process. The documents can either be verified at the nearest Facilitation Centers (FC) or take the print of the application form and the copies of uploaded documents to "Director, College of Engineering, Wellesley Road, Shivajinagar, Pune - 411005"

Step 4: Wait for the merit list

Once the documents are successfully verified, the merit list of the candidates is released on the official website of MH-CET.

Step 5: Report at Admission Reporting Centre

Candidates who are allotted a seat in the college of their choice must report at Admission Reporting Centre on the concerned dates. These candidates are not eligible to participate in the subsequent round.
Those who are not allotted a seat in the first round can wait for the second and third round.

Step 6: Report at the institute and confirm the Admission

Candidates who are allotted a must report at the institute and confirm the admission within the allotted time. The required documents and fees must be paid to confirm admission.

Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate

  • Applying Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  • He or She must have cleared three years Bachelor degree from any university recognised by Association of Indian Universities or University Grants Commission with a minimum of 50% aggregate in any discipline. Candidates belonging from Backward class categories or from the Pwd category belonging to Maharashtra State only must have secured at least 45% aggregate. Applying candidate must have scored the required percentage in the CET examination.

All India Candidature for Jammu and Kashmir/ OCI/ PIO/ NRI , Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National

Admission for the candidates belonging to these categories will be done on the basis of norms decided by DTE.

VIT Master of Management Studies (MMS) Application Process

Admission for MMS course at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology is based on the CAT scorecard. Candidate must take the CAT examination and apply for counseling process with State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra.
